Yoga or Somatics Wellbeing Workshops are a fantastic way to take time to focus on more specific aspects to refine our practice. It is also a work of exploration enabling us to appreciate how our breath, body and mind come together to bring us harmony. Time to unwind and reconnect with ourselves.

Time to melt tension away, learn from 2022 and Welcome 2023. What is your heart’s deepest desire ?
Join us in this beautiful relaxing and rejuvenating flow to mobilise and rest our body and mind. The focus is about centering and connecting to ourselves, finding calm, letting go of the past to make space for the new, setting our intention for 2023.
This practice includes breath practice, mantra, journalling, Somatics and gentle yoga session to calm our busy minds. We mobilise, open, stretch, decompress and breathe. We give thanks to 2022 and welcome the new year. We end with a relaxing guided meditation.

FREEING THE BACK BODY & RELAXATION
Part 1 Somatics: Release muscles of your back body. Heaven for upper and lower back pain, tightness between the shoulder blades, hyperlordosis (overarching of the lower back), hyperkyphosis (over arching of the upper back), sciatica and slipped disc.
Part 2: An Ayurvedic Vata balancing yoga practice where we will explore how to balance Vata, the Air and Ether elements in our body. This practice is suitable to do in the Autumn/early Winter when Vata is naturally higher in nature and in our bodies. It also naturally increases as we get older and during times of change or stress. Props: blanket, 2 blocks.
Part 3: We will end with breathwork, chanting and yoga nidra, a guided meditation. Yoga nidra, also called yogic sleep, is deeply relaxing. It takes you to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, It induces deep relaxation. Research shows that one hour of Yoga Nidra can be equivalent to a few hours of sleep.
